Tip of week 35 - Attach it to the ground!

This is a quick and simple trick to enhance your illusions. In order to make an object stick to the ground instead of floating in the air you place a shadow under it. You can improve this illusion by adding a reflection of the object.

Duplicate the layer with your object and flip the duplicate vertically and place it beneath your object. Apply a layer mask and fade the reflection with a black to white gradient in the layer mask. Lower the opacity of the reflection and optionally you can apply a gaussian blur to it.
